There are two possible routes, and using the wrong one is why people cancel Kindle Unlimited and still get charged. Check which applies to you first.

This is the step people skip. Kindle Unlimited can be billed either by Apple (if you subscribed inside an iPhone or iPad app) or by Kindle Unlimited directly (if you signed up on their website). Only the biller can cancel it.
To check: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. If Kindle Unlimited appears there, Apple bills you — use route A. If it does not, use route B.
Go straight to the Kindle Unlimited cancellation page →
Worth knowing: Kindle Unlimited is billed by Amazon, not Apple, so it never appears in iPhone Settings. If you started it as a free or discounted trial, check the date it converts to the full price on the same page.
Books you borrowed through Kindle Unlimited disappear from your devices when the paid period ends. Books you bought outright stay in your library.
Always confirm it worked. Look for a cancellation email, and re-open the billing page to check the status reads cancelled or "ends on [date]". Then set a calendar reminder for the day after the period ends and check your card statement. A surprising number of cancellations do not take on the first attempt.
Most services have a cheaper tier that people never look at, and several offer a pause instead of a cancellation. If you use Kindle Unlimited occasionally rather than never, a lower plan or a temporary pause usually beats cancelling and resubscribing at a higher price later.
Recurra reminds you before Kindle Unlimited renews, so you decide in time instead of finding out on your statement. It keeps every other subscription in one place too. No bank login, no account.
