There are two possible routes, and using the wrong one is why people cancel Claude Pro and still get charged. Check which applies to you first.
This is the step people skip. Claude Pro can be billed either by Apple (if you subscribed inside an iPhone or iPad app) or by Claude Pro directly (if you signed up on their website). Only the biller can cancel it.
To check: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. If Claude Pro appears there, Apple bills you — use route A. If it does not, use route B.
Go straight to the Claude Pro cancellation page →
Worth knowing: If you subscribed through the iOS app, cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions instead — the web billing page will not control an Apple-billed plan.
Pro features run to the end of the paid period, then the account falls back to free usage limits. Your conversations and Projects stay.
Always confirm it worked. Look for a cancellation email, and re-open the billing page to check the status reads cancelled or "ends on [date]". Then set a calendar reminder for the day after the period ends and check your card statement. A surprising number of cancellations do not take on the first attempt.
Most services have a cheaper tier that people never look at, and several offer a pause instead of a cancellation. If you use Claude Pro occasionally rather than never, a lower plan or a temporary pause usually beats cancelling and resubscribing at a higher price later.
Recurra keeps your remaining subscriptions in one place and reminds you before each renewal — so the next one does not catch you out. No bank login, no account.
